Theatre Toolkit to Empower Youth

This toolkit is a practical resource that will empower youth to create and produce theatre performances. It includes elements such as set design, staging guidelines, choreography, lighting, sound, and script development, provide a structured framework for autistic youth to engage in theatre.

Youth Workers Training Programme

This training programme will focus on teaching youth workers how to use drama as a tool to help autistic youth develop key social, emotional, and communication skills in a structured yet creative environment. This programme includes interactive workshops focused on techniques such as role-play, improvisation, and sensory-friendly adaptions tailored for autistic individuals.

Facilitator's Handbook

This handbook equips youth workers with the skills and resources to effectively engage autistic youth through theatre, with a particular emphasis on improvisational theatre. It includes modules on understanding autism,
theatre techniques, principles of improvisational theatre, and methods for developing core social and emotional skills.

Lesson-learned reports

This report summarises the outcomes of the Spotlight project. It has been complied based on the feedback collected from youth workers, autistic and other neurodivergent youth, and other stakeholders involved in the theatre sessions. The Lessons Learned report compiles success stories, challenges faced, lessons learned, and recommendations for future projects or initiatives.
